What We Look At

  • Navigation & setup — perimeter wire, wire-free/GPS-RTK, or hybrid, and how much setup each requires
  • Coverage & slope — rated yard size and maximum incline the mower can safely handle
  • Cutting performance — cutting width, height adjustment range, and how it handles edges and tight corners
  • Battery & runtime — charging time versus mowing time, and cold-weather behavior where data is available
  • Weather & obstacle handling — rain sensors, lift/tilt sensors, and anti-theft features (PIN lock, GPS tracking, alarm)
  • App & smart features — scheduling, multi-zone support, and voice-assistant integration
  • Ownership cost — price, plus known costs like blades, boundary wire, or subscription features
